From the Revenger web site: The 'Mediterranee' with the pedigree and heritage of the 25ft Sport Cruiser was ideal for offshore competition. This model was not just for racing but had been designed for the owner who enjoyed the possiblity of competition and yet required the same boat to have wider family orentated applications.

That's a lot of boat for only £10,000!

In good condition maybe! Not so sure as it is, she looks pretty sorry for herself especially in contrast to the description in advert! How do you put a price on a boat that rare anyway!!

Ouch, that looks a nice bit of kit as well, Mike Sloggett could make great looking boats but the market in the UK is simply not there for boats like this and thats why he, and others have gone down the RIB route, unfortunately.

ye agreed remember reading about that in the boating mags years back, only ever seen one some years ago in Poole, great looking boat, I wondered if somebody stuck outboards on one for racing how would it of compared to the 28 Phantom Brut racing around that time...... the new Hunton 37 reminds me a bit of it, or is it just my eyesight going

The 'new' Hunton 37, is the 'old' Hunton 36 thourobred, with a foot stuck in it, (otherwise looks identical) which in turn is the 'old' Hunton Maverick 34 with the two foot bathing platform included in the length (and a wee perspex screen added) again, exact same mouldings.

Mark Wildey on the forum has the original boat show demonstrator Maverick 34.

The Monza 30 really was gorgeous, but I think at the time, it was too dear, and was up against the Sunseeker range, who were steaming ahead with marketing, image, etc.
It was supposed to run 70 with twin 365hp big blocks.

I understood they only made one or two. The red/white one that was tested by the mags, went to Norway I think.

I remember John Miller borrowing it as a spectator boat for Cowes in about '95, and using one of those disposable BBQ's on the swim platform, fecking up the glass! doubt Mr Sloggett was too chuffed about that.

I don't think Jeff would be too pleased to read that one as when we where all racing the Revenger was a competitor to the Hunton! I read an article in the Times last Sunday which said that the new Hunton 37 was the Aston Martin DB9 of the seas. I emailed Jeff asking what that was all about and he replied "The article in the Sundays came by accident, they were just ringing round builders for info!" but I don't think it did him any harm at all.

'Maverick' 34 that may be the red one that has been about through the 90,s, used to see it out regularly nice looking boat, Jeff seem's from what you say to have had some mileage out of the original design and costings involved in making the moulds, if he makes enough cash who knows we may see a boat of his in P1? on the other hand it's sad to hear such a great looker as the 30ft revenger never found any market afer all the costs of building and marketing it, but by the sound of what you say all was not lost as it became the 34ft rib.....see ribs do have a use!!!!!!using up old hard boat moulds

Just had a thought if the Hunton is the Aston DB 9, what is the Rolls Royce or the Ferrari Enzo?

Now there's a thought, that could start a whole new thread and would you want to just keep it to "proper boats" or include those RIB'y things?
