Nearly done for the poker run!!!!!!!!

Well guys, after nearly a year and countless man hours i have finally finished my boat.
Hopefully testing the weekend.
Here is the first pic of the hull on the trailer.
i do have some more work to do but they are things i can address later on, things such as trim and and some other little bits.
Just wanted to get it out for the poker run.

It was a Hydrolift T20 restoration job that went from bad to worse.everthing that was removed or what ever hid something else so in the end i cut the boat up and just used it as a boat shape template.
so to sum it up i got out foam, filler an wood and started to design/ build my own shaped boat.
Ideas i had on the hull shape have come from things i have learnt over time and have put theory to practice. my main objective was to have a boat built around/ for use with the new engines in mind, thats why i made it wide and shaped the chines.
It is also longer that the hydrolift.
I could have just copied the boat but i am not a fan of that idea.
I hope all my theories and efforts work, if not i've done soooo much money in cold blood. but it has been an experience none the less.
projects like this are such hard work and fair play to all that do it.
Cheers
Paul

I think it looks fantastic! Lets hope it goes well too... You planning to produce them if it's as good as it looks?

That boat was one of the fastest xr2 ocr boats in a straight line doing close to 80mph,it has amazing lift when running at speed.Great to see youve saved it and it looks even better.
what engine will be on the back?

I would have loved to saved it but it was too far gone. i have actually altered the hull but i suppose you could say it is a progression of a hull that i truly believed in.
But i dont think i have saved anything. but thank you for positive words.

P.s Mick archer done a 92.mph run i believe at winderemere.. with an XR2.
Paul

Got a 150 HO for it.

only what i have been told by the OCR racers that were there. it was for the ocr national records so it would have been stripped if he had not have hooked on his return run.
I was not there but my dad was with his P19.

Hey Paul,

that's a very nice boat, you really did a great job, mate. Amazing!

When will you test it the first time with your 150HO? I wish you all the best for your first test trial on the water.

Best regards
Paddy
