2008 Optimax 200

Hi everyone,

Thinking of selling my engine...

Its a 2008 Mercury Optimax 200hp, first in the water around Easter time this year and has done about 90 hours.

Will come with smartcraft speed and rev gauges but not control box, gear and throttle cables, or prop. (Probably would sell these though!)

I can post pictures to you if you like, but its basically a brand new engine so it looks like the ones on the mercury website!

Would like to get around £6.5k for it. For this price I could ship it to the South Coast. (would want a few more £££ to help shipping right up Norf)

Any questions just PM me or stick them up here...

Cheers,

Andy

Oh,

Engine still has 4 years of mercury warranty remaining and will be serviced by our local dealer before shipping.

Cheers!

What's the shaft length, and how come you're selling? It's very tempting, especially if any more work needs doing to my Mariner

Selling it into the UK would mean 15% vat I'd imagine.

Hi Pearny,

Its a 20" leg and is the normal Optimax not the XS.

Cheers,

Andy

Get someone to drive their boat across, meet them and put it onboard, they go back across and back to where they launched from and to the tax man

Not really sure yet, something I can race with I guess?

Has the GPA decided how many races are going to be held? That will play a big part in how leisure/race biased it is!

And any idea on the class structure?

we will be putting on at least 6 races in 2010

the RYA are looking at class structures at the moment and will announce something in december time on their class structures for 2010

the classes for basic racing in guernsey in 2010 will be very fair whatever size boat or engine you have - everyone will be in with a chance of winning - so put whatever you fancy on the back mate!

id put something like an xr2 / 2.4 or a 2.5 on adrenalin... and watch her fly!
