Just found these 1974 Beken originals whilst having a clear-out in the workshop...
Apologies for the quality - scanner is still down... so these are "photos of photos"
Will try to scan the originals later this week...
That's "ABO" and "Eraf" in company with Uno-Embassy in the last shot

I will ask Tim Powell & see if he knows.
On a different tack, I understand that the owner of PAPER TIGER lives near Wellow, Romsey.
A friend knows the chap who has restored it, & told me of some news etc about the work etc.
Can you send me a private message please, with a contact perhaps, please ?

Paper Tiger Ian
Hi Martin
It's no secret! Nice chap (with excellent sense of humour!) called Ian... just to keep things clear. Goes by the name of Pacific Marlin on here...
Take a look at the COPOC restorations site:
http://www.classicoffshore.com/resto...papertiger.php
Scroll-down for some brilliant restoration pictures
P.M. sent
All the best, ian

I think the guy who did this,is the same chap who paints `Flying Scotsman` red with ten driving wheels on pub signs.
Those spray rails are something else, and the aft topside styling fins are good for one of those `spot the difference competitions`port & stardoard. The sheer line forward obviously is to prevent stuffing, but someone ??? might think it a useful design detail to incorporate for 2011.

That's got to be my all-time favourite line-up at Souter's... but then I am old...
It's certainly quite a hall-of-fame.
Fantastic pictures Graham.

Wasn't Thunderfish III (ex Merry-go-Round) a beautiful boat...? But then, I think I'm right in saying, she was off the same plug as Surfury.
What a shame and a tragic waste that she caught fire and burned-out
Conversely, wasn't that News of the World boat pig-ugly?! ..(Doubtless this will flush-out someone who admires the unusual!)
...and she caught fire and sank too.
..Am I allowed to say: Best thing that could've happened..??!!

Very cool pics Graham! How many memories looking Eraf VBV winner in 1974 or American Eagle second in 1976 or Alitalia Due in 1977!
No info about "Kouros" which I did not know the existence before see this your pic.
It was ex-anything?
