Nicely made boat, good value for money, but I'm not sure what you use it for.
For anyone who's not sure, it's a Shakespeare.
Based on the hull of the '650 sports cuddy' cruiser (21')
I'm not sure what open fisher type boats like this are meant to do, i mean, you wouldn't wanna drive one like your life depended on it, coz just like a rib, it'd be very easy to fall out!
It doesn't have accomodation, so no overnighting.
where does it fit into a regular weekends boating?
At least with a rib it has an excellent permanent 'fender', for easy mooring.

Nick (The one in my pic) uses his for........... fishing from.... and tazzing from mackerel shoal to mackerel shoal
Got a 225 'rude on the back and goes pretty sharpish... can be a bit of a handful and I nearly got ejected on a demo ride when a complete nobba threw it around like his bayliner.. and it bit back... Well made and great fun, but get some proper seats in it.. unless Steve's started to fit 'em already.. the helm seat was pants...
Oh yeah..... and he has to launch and recover it off a beach.. which is an interesting technique..

Must be the christmas spirit (or booze)... next thing you know he'll be saying that cat's should be eligible for marathon and that "those bastard norwegians in that bloody RIB" actually deserved to beat swipewipes in RB08. Wouldn't hold my breath, though...

We're not 100% sure yet. We have had our minds set on 2012 for a while and need to see if we can do both 2011 and 2012 - it is quite a process bringing the boat over to the UK and back. Part of the plan is to put the boat on some steroids to make it bigger and faster, and not yet sure if this will be in place by 2011. Would reeeeeeeally like to make it happen, though .
Plus, it would be great to give you a chance at 1st place, and we all know that'll be hard if we run against you

This is very true, even with the new 'works' 330hp Steyr's installed, I think you will be a worthy opponent.
We're just pleased that the new motors have a fluid harmonic balancer, instead of the old rubber type!
